Power walkers, bicyclists, families strolling, joggers—the Governor Mario M. Cuomo (formerly the Tappan Zee) Bridge Path, between the historic villages of Tarrytown and South Nyack in Rockland County, has room for all to enjoy the majestic views of the Hudson River.
The longest of its kind in the country, the 3.6-mile span has welcome centers at each end of the walk, with six overlooks along the way. Well marked, the path is divided into a pedestrian walkway and a bicycle path. Each overlook is unique and offers travelers the opportunity to take in views of the Hudson River and its surroundings, making it easy to see why the waterway has inspired people for centuries.
